Fondation Émergence is pleased to announce the holding of its third benefit auction presented by Desjardins and chaired by Mr. Guy Cormier, President and CEO of the Desjardins Group.
Proceeds from this event will be used to support Fondation Émergence's various programs, which aim to accompany the development of its mission internationally, in the workplace, with seniors, with caregivers‧e‧s, etc., in order to promote the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in these various environments. The funds raised will finance training on the realities and issues of LGBTQ+ people, the production of tools (information guides, exhibitions, etc.) as well as the organization of events and visibility.
Fondation Émergence's Art Auction Closing Day: Come and experience the excitement of the latest auction of works by internationally renowned artists with the talented Geneviève Leclerc as host and multi-talented artist Elyann Quessy with her golden voice performing several of her hits.
Attention: you must go to the MaCause platform to place a bet. Betting will continue until the closing event on October 2, 2022 at 2:30 pm.

Geneviève Leclerc
A woman of passions, Geneviève Leclerc has been singing since she was a child. It was during her appearance on the show La Voix that she dazzled and conquered the public with her golden voice and her bewitching and theatrical personality. Since then, a true love affair with the public has developed and her career has taken off, multiplying shows and albums and now animation. As a committed artist, it is with eagerness and pride that she accepted to host the third edition of the Fondation Émergence auction. Geneviève Leclerc is accompanied on piano by Nick Burgess
Performance
Elyann Quessy
Actress, comedian, singer, chorus girl, dancer, Elyann Quessy has known the stage since she was a child. Her talent has led her to travel across North America in numerous large-scale musical revues. A lover of musical theater, she has played roles in such plays as RENT, The Who's Tommy, Hair and Rocky Horror Show in which she played Janet for three consecutive years in a sold out production and for which she received a Broadway World nomination for "Best Leading Actress in a Musical". On the small screen, she has been seen in Over The Rainbow: Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for Dorothy and on The Voice in 2017. She is also a backup singer for several artists and is currently working on her own material.

Auction rules

Auction begins on August 22, 2022 at noon and ends on October 2, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., Quebec time.

By bidding on a lot, you certify that you have read and understood the auction rules in their entirety and that you agree to abide by these rules.

At the close of the auction, the last recorded bid will determine the highest bid and the purchase price of the work.

The person who submitted the highest bid will be notified by SMS of the winning work(s) within minutes of the auction closing. If that person is logged in to the site, a window will open with a payment link. If you do not have a cell phone, we will send you an email the day after the auction ends.

Following receipt of the text message or email, the Bidder‧euse will then be required to make payment online using a Visa or MasterCard credit card within 48 hours. All prices are in Canadian currency

In the event that payment is not made within the deadline, Fondation Émergence reserves the right to offer each unpaid work to the Bidder‧euse preceding the winning Bidder‧e.

Once payment has been made on the payment site, the Bidder‧euse will receive a confirmation by email detailing the title of the work and the amount of the sale.

The lot is sold as is and must be accepted as awarded. It is not exchangeable or refundable. No compensation or other relief will be given. No substitutions will be permitted.

Some works were donated by the donors‧ice‧s/artists already framed, some were donated by the Montreal-based specialty company Encadrex and some were not framed for aesthetic reasons. The auction price includes framing, if applicable, and Fondation Émergence is not responsible for the condition or quality of the framing, which is offered free of charge.

By participating in the Auction, any‧e participant‧e releases Fondation Emergence and its employees‧e‧s, officers‧e‧s, members, trustees‧ice‧s and its agents and representatives‧e‧s from any and all liability for any damage, harm or loss that may arise from his or her participation in, acceptance of, or use of the prize.

Participants‧e‧s must be 18 years of age‧e‧s or older.

Foundation staff and trustees‧ice‧s may purchase products. These purchases are strictly personal.
ONLINE AUCTION

To bid, auction participants‧e‧s must be "logged in‧e‧s" and must visit the listing for the work they are interested in.

Two options are available:

Bid: a minimum bid is offered. Simply click on the "Bet" button or the "+" to increase the bet.

Automatic Bet: The person indicates the maximum amount he/she wants to bet for a lot. The bidder will have to confirm their choice and agree to pay the amount they have determined if, at the end of the auction, their bid is the highest for that lot.
TAKING POSSESSION OF THE WORKS

Before taking possession of any work, each work must have been paid for and the payment honored.

For works purchased by participants attending the closing day, the work(s) may be picked up the same day upon proof of payment. Packing cases will be available on site.

Proof of identity will be required upon pick-up.

For works acquired by persons not present on the closing day, the purchasers‧e‧s must contact the Foundation to make the necessary arrangements to pick up their work(s) at our offices by appointment at 3155 Hochelaga Street, Montreal, Quebec, H1W 1G4. Pick-up must be within one week of the end date of the auction.

If you are unable to attend, we can arrange for packing and delivery. Please note that the cost of packing and delivery will be the responsibility of the person acquiring the item.
