Fondation Émergence’s 3rd Annual Art Auction Ends Majestically

Montreal, September 8, 2022 – On August 22, Fondation Émergence proudly launched the third edition of its art auction, currently open online until October 2. This fundraising event presented by Desjardins aims to raise funds to finance the support and awareness programs offered by the Foundation, to allow the creation of new programs and to ensure the sustainability of the organization’s operations. The auction will come to an end on October 2 with a convivial closing cocktail ceremony at the Wilder Building in Montréal.

Among the works to be auctioned are those of renowned artists such as Ozias Leduc, Marc Séguin, Bonnie Baxter, Jordi Bonet, Marc-André J. Fortier and Marcelle Ferron. “Since the auction’s creation, all the works put up for auction are sold, and generous additional donations are given to the organization. In fact, an impressive $100,000 was raised during the 2021 auction”, mentions Laurent Breault, General manager at Fondation Émergence. This real enthusiasm for the event highlights the importance of the work carried out by Fondation Émergence and the willingness of the public and organizations to support the cause it defends.

At Desjardins, we are convinced that diversity is a tangible force that plays a determining role in the success of our outstanding financial group. It is a fundamental asset allowing us to innovate, to improve our performance and to grow as a company. Therefore, it is with great enthusiasm that I am involved this year as Honorary President of the 3rd edition of Fondation Émergence’s auction. By participating in this auction, you will contribute to the emergence of an even more inclusive world!” says Guy Cormier, President and CEO of the Desjardins Group and Honorary President of the 3rd auction edition of Fondation Émergence.

An Event Not to Be Missed!

On October 2, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the closing cocktail of the 2022 auction will welcome Elyann Quessy, for a festive musical performance, and Geneviève Leclerc, who will host the event. Mr. Cormier will also be present, as well as the members of Fondation Émergence’s honorary committee: Dr. Maxim Éthier, physician, Valérie Pomerleau, Vice-president and associate at Ryan Public Affairs & Communications, and Rachelle Séguin, President of Omy Laboratoire. Finally, all participants in the auction and anyone else wishing to join the fundraising event and admire the 65 works graciously donated are welcome.
